1. Water in the exhaust pipe will cause serious consequences of water ingress into the engine. If water is only in the exhaust pipe, remove the accumulated water as soon as possible to prevent impurities in the water from clogging the ternary catalyzer or damaging the oxygen sensor. Increase the throttle and use the exhaust to spray water out.
2. Water in the exhaust pipe may cause the exhaust to be blocked, and poor exhaust will cause the engine to stall, but the engine may not enter water at this time, but it is just commonly known as extinguished. In this case, you don’t need to worry, just wait for the water to flow out. After that, you can continue to start.
Since water is far less compressible than oil, if a certain amount of water enters the cylinder and adds a relatively large pressure, it is easy to break the connecting rod of the engine and even penetrate the piston. It is also easy to mix in the oil and quickly cause the oil to fail. Eventually the engine pulls the cylinder, and in this case, there is no difference between the engine and the scrapped engine.
If you encounter areas with a high wading depth while driving, try to detour as far as possible. It is not recommended to continue driving if the wading depth exceeds 40cm. Although it may not affect the engine, it will also affect the brakes, fog lights and other electronic control equipment. If someone enters the engine due to the splash, the gain is not worth the loss. Although it can be repaired, the maintenance cost is very high.
